Mobius
Screendance, single-channel HD moving image, silent, 5:00 min (2019)

"Mobius (2019) takes up the ephemeral, performative potential of sculpture — form made from a living body moving through material and space, arriving only in the moment it is enacted, already gone as it appears. A life-size black line, drawn onto the gallery walls sets the field the body moves through. Activated by a blue constructed textile, the figure is recorded across a sequence of long exposures, each frame gathering movement before the next begins. Performed for no audience, witnessed only by the camera, the figure merges with the drawn line at moments and disappears from the frame at others, leaving only the wall marks, or a shadow standing in where the body was.
